Publication alert: Challenges in developing a digital pathology consultation network: insights from the MELCAYA experience

We are very pleased to share our last publication “Challenges in developing a digital pathology consultation network: insights from the MELCAYA experience” as part of the EU-funded MELCAYA project, which is dedicated to enhancing the prevention, diagnosis, and prognosis of melanoma in Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults (CAYA). This study examines how digital pathology and second-opinion platforms can transform the way rare melanomas in young patients are diagnosed. Due to the rarity and complexity of these cases, accurate diagnosis often requires collaboration among experts across different countries. By creating a shared European network for digital pathology consultation, we aim to establish standardized approaches, improve diagnostic concordance, and ultimately ensure better care for CAYA melanoma patients.
