AI Meets Dermatology at ICD 2025!

Artificial Intelligence in Dermatology – A Glimpse into the Future!

We were proud to see MELCAYA partners taking center stage in one of the most forward-looking sessions at the XIV International Congress of Dermatology (ICD 2025) in Rome.

The session on Artificial Intelligence in Dermatology brought together leading experts to discuss how cutting-edge technologies are shaping the future of skin health. Among them were PD Dr. med. Titus J. Brinker from the Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum (DKFZ) and Dr. Josep Malvehy, who explored the immense potential of AI in early skin cancer diagnostics, digital health applications, and clinical support systems.

The contributions of Susana Puig from the Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS) also reflected MELCAYA’s ongoing commitment to collaboration, innovation, and improving care for children and adolescents at risk of melanoma. Their active involvement in this session exemplified how MELCAYA’s partners are driving progress at the intersection of dermatology, oncology, and technology.

The ICD 2025 Congress, hosted by the International Society of Dermatology (ISD) and supported by Italian dermatology societies SIDeMaST, ADMG, ADOI, and ADI, was a vibrant gathering of global experts. Under the theme “The Roads of Dermatology,” the event highlighted the diverse paths through which dermatology evolves — uniting science, technology, and humanity.

We thank the organizers and speakers for an inspiring session and look forward to continuing our shared journey toward inclusive, innovative, and accessible skin care for all.
